Magd Riad
President

Magd is a rising leader in the natural stone and design industry. His international roots and well-traveled background have instilled in him a true passion for the field.

With a vision to create a global company, Magd has strengthened Marmi’s worldwide partnerships and developed a robust team of highly-skilled professionals. The business has prospered under his leadership and continues to grow. Magd leverages previous experience in corporate and real estate development in his role as President of Marmi. He is involved in several design organizations including the Design Leadership Network and the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and is a graduate of the Urban Land Institute Center for Leadership. Magd received his Bachelors of Science in Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and his Masters of Business Administration from Duke University. As an active alumnus of Georgia Tech, Magd serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees. Magd’s enthusiasm for life and learning extends to his leisure time. He resides in Atlanta with his wife, Ashley; they both enjoy traveling, skiing and yoga.

Richard Staley
Director of Operations

Richard comes from a long line of stoneworkers. He represents the third generation in his family to join the industry. Having grown up in the stone business, Richard came to Marmi as the result of a nationwide search.

His deep experience in the industry spans nearly three decades of work. As an operations professional with experience ranging from the quarry to production and final installation, there isn’t a facet of the business Richard hasn’t touched or learned over the years. Richard is a valued resource for Marmi’s team and clients. As our technical expert, he advises on how stone performs in application and oversees fabrication with a superior level of detail. Richard’s wealth of knowledge extends from slab fabrication to tile installation and wall cladding. Aside from client work, Richard pursues his own home projects and cherishes time spent with his lovely wife Raquel and his grown daughter, Hannah. He also enjoys visits with his son Christopher, wife Leslie and granddaughter Lillian who live in Tennessee.

Hope Payne
Director of Sales

Hope has mastered the art of customer service through her diverse roles in leadership, training and sales management. She joined the Marmi Team as the Director of Sales in 2015 after a successful tenure of 14 years at Baker Furniture.

Working alongside Marketing and Business Development, Hope leads the sales effort across all business units. Her unwavering focus on customer experience motivates Marmi to uphold the highest standards from commencement to completion. With an emphasis on mentoring, procedures and customer relations, Hope has energized training protocol and created an internal curriculum known as Marmi University. As a working mother, Hope enjoys time with family. She and her husband Kevin can often be found on the sidelines of the soccer field, swimming pool or wherever their young son, Kingston, is playing. She is an avid sailor who takes to the seas when her schedule allows.

Judy Talley
Director of Marketing and Business Development

Throughout her career, Judy has led significant marketing campaigns and stewarded business growth. She came to Marmi as a marketing consultant in 2008 with more than three decades of marketing and communications experience to contribute.

After a flourishing career in the corporate world, Judy served as the Program Director for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, managing programs that generated over $25 million to stage the games. Through a variety of initiatives, Judy has elevated Marmi’s profile and raised brand awareness in the U.S. market. She serves on the SE Chapter Board of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art and formerly served in the Georgia Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers. She chaired the prestigious Phillip Trammell Shutze Awards in 2011 and 2016. Deeply engaged in the industry, Judy is certified by the Natural Stone Institute to instruct continuing education classes for AIA, ASID, NKBA and ALSA. Judy enjoys a vibrant family life with her husband Jack and their five married daughters and five grandchildren

Emily Reatherford
Director of Administration

Since joining Marmi in 2006, Emily has tenaciously pursued every opportunity to improve the company’s operations. When she came on board, she began developing structure and clear processes for the newly launched business and has never slowed down.

As Marmi has grown, so to have Emily’s responsibilities. Her insight and versatile skills have placed her at the forefront of developing an emerging Enterprise Resource Program including facilities and team expansion plans. As the Director of Administration, Emily oversees Human Resources, Office Management, Facilities and Information Technology. Emily’s passion for the business is seen in her commitment and hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations. She received her bachelor’s degree as well as certification in Human Resource Management from Emory University. Atlanta has been her home and stomping grounds for two decades.

Lydia Mikhail
Accounting Manager

Lydia is a seasoned accounting manager with bi-lingual proficiency. With more than 10 years of industry experience, she expertly oversees Accounting at Marmi.

She played a key role in building the company’s financial infrastructure and continues to maintain its efficacy and integrity. She supports the Marmi team with strong organizational skills and unparalleled know how. Raised abroad, Lydia received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cairo University in Egypt. Away from the office, she cherishes time spent with her husband Rafik and their two children.

Hilary Langley
Executive Assistant

As the Executive Assistant to the President, Hilary nurtures important supplier relationships and manages an abundance of administrative details.

She oversees Marmi’s extensive stone acquisition process, maintaining close contact with global partners. Her conscientious approach ensures healthy vendor relationships while also helping Marmi achieve organizational goals and operational efficiency. As a member of the Leadership Team, Hilary oversees internal communications and employee engagement, effectively building company culture. Before joining Marmi, Hilary amassed years of experience in corporate and administrative positions. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Emory University with a BBA in Marketing. Hilary and her husband Sany raised two sons and now enjoys spending time with their three granddaughters and grandson.
